Level Training Program
AN INTRODUCTION TO MELT
As of July 2017 - Ontario is the first province in Canada to
introduce Mandatory Entry Level Training for Class A Truck Drivers.
All drivers looking to earn a Class A license must complete
the MELT program before they can go to complete their
road test to obtain the Class A license.
You need the training for the career you want - we have the
tools to prepare you. This program has been designed by our award winning instructional design team in compliance with the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO) Commercial Truck Driver Training Standard (Class A) for entry level commercial truck drivers.
The program consists of ten individual modules totaling 103.5 hours of instruction and uses a combination of interactive classroom sessions, simulation labs, hands-on yard work and in-vehicle training - to provide a solid foundation for a safe career in trucking.

36.5 in classroom
17 hours in the yard (includes pre-trip inspection)
18 hours in the truck off-road
32 hours of one-on-one driver training on road
