DriveWise had a very busy week, attending the Partners in Prevention tradeshow, the Ontario Electrical League Conference, and the Ontario Association of Fire Chiefs Conference and Tradeshow.

The week started with Partners in Prevention on May 2nd and 3rd at The International Centre in Mississauga. Partners in Prevention brought together thousands of health & safety professionals for Canada’s largest health & safety event. The Partners in Prevention Conference & Tradeshow featured speakers like distraction expert Curt Steinhorst , author and happiness expert Neil Pasricha, and iconic musician Steven Page. Our DriveWise booth had a great location, being very close to the Distracted Driving Pavilion. We had many people drive scenarios related to distracted driving on our simulator, and were able to gather crowds throughout the event to enjoy learning about our industry leading programs and our interactive learning tools.

Next up on our busy Tradeshow week was the OEL (Ontario Electrical League) Conference on May 4th and 5th at the White Oaks Conference Resort in Niagara-on-the-Lake. DriveWise was able to be part of the Virtual Reality Hospitality Suite on May 4th, where we were able to showcase our simulator and have conference attendees try various hydro related scenarios. The hospitality suite also featured Virtual Reality workforce training by EXO Insights. On May 5th, DriveWise participated in the OEL product expo, where various OEL members, and Electrical industry companies showcased products in the tradeshow-style event.

The final Tradeshow of the week was the OAFC (Ontario Association of Fire Chiefs) Conference & Tradeshow on May 7th and 8th at The Toronto Congress Centre in Etobicoke. The OAFC Conference had speakers such as Dr. Richard Gasaway, who discussed shortfalls in first responder training, and Chief Roderick S. Williams, who discussed the response during the Pulse Nightclub tragedy in Orlando in 2016. DriveWise participated in the Tradeshow aspect of the event, where we were able to run scenarios that were related to our Fire and Emergency vehicle operator programs, including intersection training, real life scenarios, and response exercises on our driving simulator.
