Everyone should have these essentials in their emergency car kit!
Good day DriveWise Nation and welcome to the warmer weather! It’s been a long time coming and if you’re anything like us you’re more than excited for the summer ahead. We wanted to remind you that even though the winter is behind us it is still very important that your vehicle, and you, are prepared for any situation that may arise. Summer is the time for road trips, day trips, camping adventures, concerts and many other events that may have you travelling some distance. Play it safe and prepare yourself and emergency car kit!
A basic emergency car kit should contain the following:
Food that won't spoil, such as energy bars
Water—plastic bottles that won't break if the water freezes (replace them every six months)
Blanket
Jumper cables
Tow rope
Extra clothing and shoes or boots
First aid kit with seatbelt cutter
Small shovel
Candle in a deep can and matches
Wind‑up flashlight
Whistle—in case you need to attract attention
Roadmaps
Copy of your emergency plan
Be sure to print this list and begin gathering your supplies. One can never be too safe or too prepared for what lies ahead, make sure you’re not left in the dark!
Always DriveWise!
